(Over the next month or so, we’re going to be doing previews for all 32 teams participating in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Yes, all 32 teams. We’ll make you laugh, cry, get mad and perhaps question why you read us in the first place. We hope you enjoy the product nonetheless)
Man, it feels like just yesterday that we started these previews with the host nation Brazil. We’re done three complete groups and Group C may lack in traditional football powers, but make ups in parity and free flowing attacking football (sorry Greece, but you don’t count for the latter part). You can make arguments that all four teams have a chance in advancing ( I mean I don’t think it’s necessarily the case but I wouldn’t begrudge you if you did). The status of Radamel Falcao hangs over Group C, the Ivory Coast can make history by making it to the knockout stage for the first time, Greece are looking to make the same achievement while Japan are trying to make three in four World Cups.
